DeskCycle 2 Mini Exercise Bike

Is The DeskCycle 2 Mini Exercise Bike A Tougher Under-Desk Option?

Under desk cycles, such as the DeskCycle 2 Mini Exercise Bike, have become a popular way to get the blood flowing during long shifts. Some machines are more intense or user-friendly than others.

This one definitely sounds more intense with the promise of tougher resistance. But, are there also enough user-friendly features to give it wider appeal?

The Pros and Cons of this DeskCycle 2 Mini Exercise Bike.

Pros:

  •  An adaptable lower profile to protect users’ knees
  •  A decent range of resistance settings for tougher sessions
  •  A quiet operation for use in the office

Cons:

  •  Some awkward design features
  •  Not as portable as some other machines

The DeskCycle 2 Mini Exercise Bike should be able to offer a convenient workout in a communal office setting.

One of the selling points in the listing is the idea that there is twice the range in intensity than most bikes. This is apparent over 8 different resistance settings via a manual knob.

So, you can decide whether or not to take it easy one day or ramp up the pressure. There is also a console for data on speed, time, and distance. If you prefer, you can set up an online calorie calculator with the desk display extension kit.

Another feature that stands out here is that this DeskCycle mini exercise bike has a low profile with wide stabilizing feet. You can drop the pedal height from 25.5cm to 23cm as well, just in case you have longer legs.

This means that you shouldn’t bash your knees on the desk as you pedal, which allows for more fluid motion. On top of this time, the machine is also meant to be whisper quiet and there are no complaints about the noise generated.

However, there are some choices in the design of the DeskCycle 2 Under-desk Exercise Bike that aren’t ideal.

One thing that stands out here is that there are some awkward design features too. For example, the resistance knob is on the base of the machine, rather than build into the casing. Also, the console is a separate device that sticks out the top.

This isn’t any more visible than other designs and it could easily snap off. Another concern here is portability. There is no carry handle on top.

Instead, users pick it up by the angular base and carry it that way. This would be easier if the machine was lighter.

Is this DeskCycle 2 8-level Office Mini Bike still a good choice for your workplace?

The portability issue is annoying but not that much of a deal-breaker. Those that can carry the device can still set it up under the desk for a good workout. The low-profile, high resistance, and lack of noise all override any negative issues with the design.

There are options out there that are more convenient, but this one does allow users to push themselves and set new goals. Therefore, the DeskCycle 2 mini exercise bike is still recommendable to those that need a challenging leg workout while stuck checking their emails.
