Does The Compact WINNOW Exercise Bike Suit Apartment Living?
The WINNOW Exercise Bike is a pretty standard-looking budget spin bike on first impressions.
There is nothing that immediately jumps out as the unique selling point in terms of any clever programming or additional feature for a more diverse workout.
Still, that could end up being the charm of this compact machine, which actually seems more geared towards the average apartment resident than the more experienced gym user.
So, does it meet their expectations?

- The decent range of resistance settings for new users
- Lots of helpful data on the console

Cons:
- Some experienced users have struggled with the resistance settings
- There are some durability issues to consider
- The design of the media shelf isn’t that practical
The WINNOW Exercise Bike seems to have great potential as a compact machine for small apartments with a decent workout.
The selling point here is the way that this suits a small home where you need to keep the noise down. There is an ultra-quiet Manetron flywheel for stability and less chance of disturbing other members of the household.
It is quite a compact machine too. The highest height is 49 inches from base to the top of handlebars, it is 33.8 inches long, and it is 23.6 inches wide.
The seat height is adjustable from 27.6 inches up to 40.2, which should help those that are a little shorter to reach the pedals and get the right movement in their knees.
As for the workout, there is a nice console and display with information on time, speed, distance, odometer, scan data, calories burned, and a pulse reading. There is also a good range of resistance levels here for such a cheaper fitness bike.
Levels 1-3 are pretty gentle and said to equate to general off-road cycling, 4-6 are for simulating road cycling, while 7 and 8 are mean to relate to mountain biking. Obviously, opinions will differ on how realistic this is.
But, it is nice to have room to progress, especially if you are new to indoor cycling.
There are people with more experience that say that the first four levels feel about the same to them. But, this might not be the case for those that are complete novices.
The low price tag of the WINNOW Ultra-Quiet Exercise Bike does lead to some small, but understandable issues in the design.
There are a couple of concerns about the longevity of this home trainer because of its price and simple features. One user noticed the resistance failing after a few months due to the belt coming off.
There are few other complaints from online reviewers, but we also have to remember that many of these come after a few days of use – where they were thrilled with the initial workout and easy set-up.
Then there is a common problem with the media shelf. This one isn’t much of a shelf because there isn’t the same protective lip at the front to secure devices in place.
Also, the device then sits right over the controls if it is a smartphone, or right over the entire display if using a tablet. It is a nice idea to have this option for watching media as you pedal, but other machines do it better.
Is this WINNOW Compact Indoor Fitness Bike still a recommendable option for the less-experienced user?
There are some flaws here that come from some of the compromises in the design of this machine. This isn’t ideal for those that want to watch media on their phone and the data on the console.
But, those that are more concerned about a quality machine for their small apartment should have few concerns.
The potential downsides with the design and the longevity are balanced out with the features for the workouts, the overall compact feel of the bike machine, and the other features for apartment users.
The WINNOW spin bike is a machine built for its target niche, that is why it is still a highly recommendable option for the right user.
